• Derek Yee's Protégé Premiers on Valentine's day

"Protégé", the new project by Hong Kong action movie master Derek
Yee is scheduled to hit movie screens on February 14th in a bid for the
    Valentine's Day box office.

The film's first formal press conference was held Thursday afternoon at the
    Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.

The cast and crew attended the huge promotion, including big Hong Kong
names Andy Lau, Louis Koo and Daniel Wu, veteran actress Anita Yuen,
rising Chinese mainland actress Zhang Jingchu and producer Peter Chan.
With the dream line up of Asian stars, director Yee says he is confident
about the film's box office potential. The director will also act in
    his film.

The film is the first collaborative project for Hong Kong Film Award winning
directors Derek Yee and Peter Chan.

Protégé is all about drug abuse. Andy Lau plays a drug lord married with two
children and another on the way to Anita Yuen. Daniel Wu is Lau's
two-faced apprentice, concealing his true identity as an informer sent
    by policeman Yee.

Zhang Jingchu plays a drug addict and nightclub dancer who has a love affair
    with Daniel Wu.
